Video Games: Stand-Alone-Console released by GCE in the year 1982; it was designed by Jay Smith. The Vectrex-machine is a vector-oriented videogaming console. It came along with a buitlt in black and white monitor, a Mini-Joyboard with a small Joystick, and a 8bit 1,6 MHz Motorola-Processor. Some of the best games are: Minestorm (an Asteroids-clone), Cosmic Chasm (Shoot´em-Up), Web Wars (Tempest-clone), Scramble, and Fortress of Narzod. Each game came along with a colored plastic-foil. These foils were designed to stick on the black and white monitor in order to suggest color games. In total there are about 35 games. The Vectrex is still very popular within the collectors- and gaming-scene.
