A process by which an object's motion through 3D space is digitized, by capturing the motion of an object (e.g. a human doing a special motion) in space with an an array of video cameras. The video is composited by a computer, and since the base position of the cameras is known, the object and its motion can be recalculated. The end result from motion capture is basically the motion of the 'skeleton' of the captured object. This "skeleton" than can be formed to a 3D model.
